Our Nursery’s Special Opening Day in 2021 (South Hornchurch)

Our Nursery’s Special Opening Day in 2021 (South Hornchurch)

Our team warmly welcomed our chief guest, a pure display of our dedication to creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for community children. Local families, staff, and Gurdi from Early Years eagerly attended the ceremony to witness the beginning of something exceptional.

The mayor appreciated the vision and values of our nursery and delivered an inspiring speech mainly focusing on the importance of early childcare education. They also appreciated our efforts to support children and local families in Havering. The mayor officially inaugurated our new nursing site with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. This opening was the beginning of a new hope for the bright future of the children entrusted to our care.

We guided our chief guest to have a look at our thoughtfully designed spaces, including the cozy reading spaces, the art studio, and the garden. The green garden engaged the visitors with its liveliness. The children enjoyed a lot by performing different activities and showing off their learning curiosity. Our beautiful large garden is specifically designed for outdoor activities. It is divided into two separate areas: one for babies and the other for 2-4-year-old children, providing them a space to play what they want.

To commemorate the event, we served the parents, children, and community members with light refreshments by our master chefs. The refreshments offered a taste of nutritious home-cooked meals necessary to nourish growing minds and bodies.

The event was a proud moment and a great success for the nursery. The mayor’s presence and beautiful speech made it even more successful. His appreciation for our work helped foster curiosity, creativity, and development in the early years. This day inspires us as we work hard to offer high-quality early education and childcare for our youngest generation.

Our Thought

Indeed, this step is vital to rebuilding the food landscape for children, but it is only a partial solution. The government should address other obesity-related issues, such as easy access to nutritional food, support for physical activities, and education on healthy lifestyles.

However, children's habits are still prioritized, and some nurseries, like Fledgelings Day, are committed to offering nutritional-rich food and snacks that are seamlessly associated with the state’s mission. P promoting healthy diets and physical activities in nurseries can significantly prevent childhood obesity.

Fledgelings Day should take advantage of the moment to highlight its commitment to healthy living. It is a complete model of how early childcare can positively influence lifetime habits.
